Interaction of Paracetamol with other drugs

If concomitantly the following medicines are being taken the person is warned to be careful and look for signs of drug interactions.

  • alcohol,
  • non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as Motrin,
  • oral contraceptives,
  • the anti-seizure drug phenytoin (Dilantin),
  • the blood-thinning drug warfarin (Coumadin),
  • the cholesterol-lowering drug cholestyramine (Questran),
  • the antibiotic Isoniazid, and
  • zidovudine (Retrovir, AZT).
